Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
FAR Xplor is in beta. Features, limits, and prices may change, and the Service may be interrupted. We will give notice of material changes as described in section 12.
1. Who we are, and what this covers
FAR Xplor is operated by FAR CNCPT ("we", "us"). These terms cover the FAR Xplor browser extension, the farxplor.com web platform, the Learn CNCPT courses, and the hosted AI guide — together, the "Service". Consulting engagements are contracted separately and are not governed by these terms.
By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
2. Accounts
The extension is free, but it requires an account to connect to the hosted guide or to any course. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for one person — do not share logins. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Pairing the extension to your account issues a device token. You can revoke any device from your dashboard, and tokens expire on their own.
3. Authorized use only
FAR Xplor reads the page you are on and can act on it — clicking, typing, and reading page content on your behalf. That makes authorization your responsibility:
- Only use the Service on sites and accounts you own or are authorized to operate. Automating someone else's systems without permission may be unlawful.
- Comply with each site's own terms, rate limits, and robots directives.
- Do not use the Service for unauthorized access, scraping in violation of a site's terms, fraud, harassment, malware, or to circumvent security or access controls.
- Do not point the Service at pages containing other people's personal, medical, or financial records unless you have the right to process that data and have satisfied your own compliance obligations.
You are responsible for what the agent does under your direction. Review actions before approving them.
4. Plans, fair use, and AI limits
Plans are described on our pricing page. Access to courses and to the hosted guide depends on your plan.
- Hosted guide usage is metered. Every plan that includes AI has a daily call allowance. When you reach it, guide requests are declined until the allowance resets. The current allowance is shown on your usage page.
- Allowances are fair-use, not a resource grant. They exist so normal learning is never interrupted. We may adjust them with notice, and we may throttle or suspend accounts whose usage is automated, resold, or grossly disproportionate.
- You may not resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own, and you may not use it to build a competing product.
- Trials are limited by usage rather than by clock time, and are offered once per person. Creating extra accounts to extend a trial is a breach of these terms.
5. Course content and your licence to it
Courses, lessons, verification criteria, and accompanying materials are our intellectual property or our licensors'. While your plan is active we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning or your own organization's internal training.
You may not republish, resell, or distribute course content, or use it to train a machine-learning model. Access ends when your plan ends.
6. Completion records and certificates
When you complete a step, the guide checks it against the lesson's criterion and records the result. Certificates and completion records are issued by us and state what they state — they are not accredited qualifications and are not a warranty of competence to any third party.
We may correct or revoke a completion record obtained through misrepresentation, shared accounts, or circumvention of the verification mechanism.
7. Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled, and renew automatically at the then-current price. All payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
- Cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: if you cancel within 14 days of your first payment on a plan and have not consumed a substantial share of that period's AI allowance, we will refund that payment in full. Later periods and renewals are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Contact billing@farcncpt.com.
- Price changes take effect at your next renewal and we will tell you before they do.
- Taxes may be added where applicable. Failed payments may suspend paid features until resolved.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you create through the Service — notes, annotations, prototypes, and any courses you author. You grant us only the licence we need to host, process, and display it back to you, and to deliver the features you use.
If you publish or share content through the Service, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us the licence needed to distribute it to the people you have shared it with.
9. Third-party services
The hosted guide sends page context to AI providers to produce a response; authentication is handled by our identity provider, and payments by Stripe. Those providers process data under their own terms — see the Privacy Policy for who they are and what they receive. We are not responsible for the availability or output of third-party services, or for the content of any site you visit while using the extension.
10. Licensing of the software
The extension source in our public repository is offered under the Apache 2.0 licence, and your rights to that code are governed by that licence. Everything else — the web platform, the hosted guide, the verification engine, and all course content — is proprietary and licensed to you only through these terms. The FAR CNCPT, FAR Xplor, and Learn CNCPT names and marks remain ours.
11. Warranties, liability, and suspension
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. In particular we do not warrant that AI output, verification results, or accessibility and security findings are accurate or complete — they are informational and do not replace professional review.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and you may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. On termination your licence ends; data deletion follows the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the product before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel and stop using the Service.
